Manager Development Services
Mark Lyndon
Mark joined Inverell Shire Council in July 2024 and has extensive experience in both local and state government. Mark manages the development assessment, compliance, strategic planning, building and certification functions of Council.
Manager Environmental Health
Greg Doman
Greg joined Council in February 2018 and manages Council’s solid waste management strategies and operations, cemeteries, Biosecurity, caravan parks, ranger services, swimming pools, public health, environmental health and facilitates special projects. Having experience in a variety of areas and qualifications in building surveying and town planning Greg provides valuable support to Council’s Development Services Division and the community.
Building Surveyor
Jade McIlwain
Jade commenced with Council in 2010 and specialises in the areas of Fire Safety and Accessibility. Jade participates in the development assessment process and can provide specialist advice in relation to the Building Code of Australia on all development matters.
Health and Building Surveyor
Howard Marsden
Howard joined Council in 2009 and assists with public and environmental health matters. Howard has an accreditation in Building and Surveying and provides support to the Development Services Division.
Development Officer
Liam Spalding
Liam has completed his Bachelor of Construction Management (Honours). Liam can assist with pre-lodgement advice, Development Application process, lodgement requirements and provide updates on progress of Construction Certificate, Complying Development and Development Approvals.
Assistant Building Certifier
Zak Sunderland
Zak is completing his Bachelor of Construction Management (Honours). Zak attends critical stage inspections for constructions, septic tank licensing and operational inspections/compliance, swimming pool compliance/inspections and participates in the development assessment process. He is able to provide review for Complying Development Certificate Applications and advice on all building matters.
Trainee Environmental Health Officer
Amayah Duddy
Amayah joined Council in February 2024 and is completing her Bachelor of Science. Amayah can assist with public health enquires.
Trainee Town Planner
Tamara Wietecki
Tamara joined Council in February 2024 and is completing her Bachelor of Urban & Regional Planning. Tamara can assist with Development Application process, lodgement requirements and provide updates on progress.
Development Services Assistant
Elaine Kenny
Elaine joined Council in 2018 and provides support and services to the Development Services Division. Elaine can assist with enquires regarding planning portal, lodgements, application progress and general development service matters.
