Community Recycling Centre (CRC)

Waste Matters – Drop off your household problem waste for recycling

Inverell Community Recycling Centre was opened in May 2016.

Located at Inverell Landfill, the CRC provides an easy drop off point for all household waste including an undercover disposal point for hazardous waste. Items that can be disposed for free at the CRC include:

  • Paints;
  • Gas bottles;
  • Motor oils;
  • Batteries (Household batteries can also be dropped into the collection point at Inverell Shire Library);
  • Smoke detectors;
  • Fluorescent globes and tubes.

Only household quantities accepted 20kg or 20L maximum container size. Please transport your materials carefully. Dangerous goods and items other than those listed will not be accepted.

Many of these materials can be reused and recycled if processed correctly. Recycling helps our environment because it saves water, energy and natural resources.
