Landfills

Details of the landfills within the Inverell Shire are detailed below.

Opening hours for each of our landfills are listed below. Please be advised that opening hours may vary on Public Holidays.

While we are still accepting cash payments, EFTPOS and Tap and Go are highly encouraged.

Inverell Waste Depot

The Inverell Waste Depot is located at 55 Burtenshaw Road, Inverell.

The Inverell Waste Depot is open seven (7) days a week during the following times:

• Weekdays: 7:30 am to 4:30 pm
• Weekends and Public Holidays: 9:00 am to 3:30 pm

Please be advised that the Inverell Waste Depot will be closed on ANZAC Day, Good Friday, Easter Sunday, Christmas Day and Melbourne Cup Day.

The Inverell Waste Depot can be contacted on (02) 6721 3546.

The Inverell Waste Depot also houses the Community Recycling Centre where you can drop off your problem household waste for recycling for free, for more information visit our Community Recycling Centre page.

Ashford Rural Waste Transfer Station

The Ashford Rural Waste Transfer Station is located at 159 Limestone Road, Ashford.

The Ashford Rural Waste Transfer Station is open during the following times:

• Tuesday: 9:00 am to 1:00 pm
• Saturday: 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm

Please be advised that the Ashford Rural Waste Transfer Station will be closed on ANZAC Day, Good Friday, Easter Sunday, Christmas Day and Melbourne Cup Day.

Delungra Rural Waste Transer Station 

The Delungra Rural Waste Transfer Station is located at 123 Haywood Road, Delungra.

The Delungra Rural Waste Transfer Station is open during the following times:

• Sunday: 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm
• Wednesday: 9:00 am to 1:00 pm

Please be advised that the Delungra Rural Waste Transfer Station will be closed on ANZAC Day, Good Friday, Easter Sunday, Christmas Day and Melbourne Cup Day.

Yetman Rural Waste Transfer Station

The Yetman Rural Waste Transfer Station is located on Warialda Road, Yetman

The Yetman Rural Waste Transfer Station is open during the following times:

• Thursday: 9:00 am to 1:00 pm
• Sunday: 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm

Please be advised that the Yetman Rural Waste Transfer Station will be closed on ANZAC Day, Good Friday, Easter Sunday, Christmas Day and Melbourne Cup Day.

Tingha Landfill

The Tingha Landfill is located at 152 Kempton Road, Tingha.

The Tingha Landfill is open during the following times:

• Sunday & Wednesday: – 9:00 am to 5:00 pm

Bonshaw Rural Waste Transfer Station

The Bonshaw Rural Waste Transfer Station is located at 262 Campbells Road, Bonshaw.

The Bonshaw Rural Waste Transfer Station is open during the following times:

• Sunday & Wednesday: 9.00 am to 1.00 pm

Please be advised that the Bonshaw Rural Waste Transfer Station will be closed on ANZAC Day, Good Friday, Easter Sunday, Christmas Day and Melbourne Cup Day.
