Bushfire Disaster Recovery

Following the bushfire disasters experienced across the state in 2019 and continuing into 2020, the NSW Government is updating and refreshing planning rules to assist with recovery and rebuilding efforts.

A Bushfire Recovery webpage has been created by the Department of Planning, Industry and Environment to provide Council and the community with updates and practical advice on these regulatory changes and what needs to be done when moving forward from these disasters.  The webpage can be accessed at www.planning.nsw.gov.au/bushfirerecovery
