Roadworks Affecting Traffic
A listing of all current advertised roadworks and road closures affecting traffic flow within the Inverell Shire.
Inverell Shire Council wishes to advise that roadwork will be undertaken along Guyra Road, approximately 3km west of Tingha, continuing until Friday, 28 February 2020. During this time the works will be under traffic control and short delays can be expected.
Members of the public are requested to exercise care and consideration when travelling through the work site. Council apologises for any inconvenience caused.

Byron Street, Inverell
Inverell Shire Council wishes to advise that, weather permitting, roadwork will be undertaken on Byron Street between Campbell and Vivian Streets. Works are scheduled to commence Monday, 6 January 2020 and continue for sixteen (16) weeks.
During this time traffic conditions will be varied depending on the stage of construction being undertaken. Initially work will commence on the eastern side of Byron Street between Campbell and Otho Streets. This will continue for six (6) weeks and traffic flow will be as follows:
- Full closure of the south-west bound lane.
- North-east bound lane open to traffic and parallel parking permitted outside Coles & FDB’s.
- No access to Byron Street via Campbell Lane.
At the end of this initial six (6) week period, traffic conditions will change and Council will provide updated details beforehand. Pedestrian accessibility will be maintained on both sides of Byron Street throughout the entire works program.

Throughout the project, alternative parking will be available at various locations throughout the CBD. Please see Council’s website for further details.
