Notification of Change of Name / Postal Address (Online Form)

Inverell Shire Council provides its residents the opportunity to complete and submit the request form to change a name or postal address online.

In addition to the online form, other avenues you can use to update your name or address are:

> Visit Council’s Administration Centre in person at 144 Otho Street, Inverell, or
> Email council@inverell.nsw.gov.au to request a form and one will be sent back for you to complete.

Please note, change of name will require supporting documentation.

*NOTE* Applicants will be required to supply certified copies of documentation to support their requested change of name details, depending on the reason for the change of name, the documentation may include; marriage certificate, birth certificate, or change of name certificate issued by the Registry of Birth’s, Deaths & Marriages. In most cases only one form of documentation will be required. Companies and other Non Government organisations will be required to provide evidence of a change of name by way of a certificate of incorporation under the Corporations Act 2001, or other appropriate evidence of the change of name under relevant legislation. Please note that Council does not update the certificate of title, this would need to be updated with NSW Land Registry Services.
