Stars Of Inverell Dance For Cancer
June 22, 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Stars of Inverell Dance for Cancer is a gala fundraising event for Cancer Council NSW. This year prominent business people and notable characters from within the Inverell community have been handpicked to be ‘STARS’. Each star has been partnered with a local dancer and will be training hard over the course of 10 weeks to learn how to dance and perform a routine in front of their community battling it out for the chance to win one of three awards. On the night a celebrity judging panel will be selecting the ‘Best performance’, the crowd will be the deciders for the ‘Peoples Choice’ & the Star who raises the highest amount over the next 3 months will take home the ‘highest Fundraiser’ award.
Cocktail attire with the theme of ‘Colours for Cancer’ the night will be an evening full of fun & entertainment raising much needed funds for those affected by cancer in the Inverell community.
Cancer Council NSW is an independent, 94% community funded organization, meaning we only exist because of the generosity of donors and fundraisers. It is through events like Stars Dance for Cancer that enables Cancer Council to provide cancer patients and their families in the New England & Northwest regions with cancer support and information services such as free accommodation during their treatment, home help, transport to treatment, 13 11 20 support line for access to free financial, legal and emotional support, cancer prevention programs, local advocacy, and funding life-saving cancer research.
