Introduction to Abstract Painting

$240This course is designed for the beginner and intermediate painter. Acrylic paints are the main medium but if you are accustomed to working in oils, that’s fine. You are responsible for providing your own materials.
Exercises will reference art history and technical aspects of abstraction such as composition, colour and mark-making.
The course will run over two Sundays, beginning with smaller exercises and moving onto a finished work:
- Sunday, 13 March 2022 & Sunday, 20 March 2022 | 10.00am to 4.00pm both days

- $240 per person
Bring along sketchbooks, experiments and ideas as starting points to work from.
