Council wants Your Say

INVERELL shire residents have been invited to provide feedback on two community matters that will help to plan the future of Inverell – the pool redevelopment and the face of the portrait mural in Evans Street.
With both surveys due to close at the end of June, Inverell Shire Council’s Mayor, Paul Harmon is encouraging all residents to have their say before time runs out.
“We have had such a great response rate already, with almost 1000 residents responding to the portrait mural poll and over 100 responding to the pool survey.”
“I would like to encourage all residents across the shire who have not yet completed the surveys to submit a response before they close at the end of June.”
“It is important that all community members have the opportunity to have their say when it comes to upgrading facilities and displaying artwork in our town.”
The portrait mural poll is set to close on 26 June 2021 and the pool survey on 30 June 2021, giving residents less than two weeks to submit their responses.
“The votes we receive for the subject of Evans Street’s portrait mural will help to assist the Public Art committee decide which finalist will be painted next to the Inverell Art Gallery by Claire Foxton in July.”
“As part of the pool redevelopment survey, residents will be able to choose between four design options, following a community-wide survey conducted in September last year to improve the current facility.”
Both surveys are available for completion on Council’s My Inverell My Say webpage, with touch-screen stations also positioned at various locations around the Inverell CBD.
