Testing Of The Inverell Aquatic Centre Commences
31 July 2024
WORK commenced this week on Hydrostatic testing of the 50m pool at the Inverell Aquatic Centre.
The 50m pool has been filled with water for testing prior to backfilling as an important milestone of the project. The pool will remain filled for approximately two weeks to allow for the testing process to be completed.
Excavation works and site preparation is also underway to enable the construction of the program pool. Construction will commence once the excavation has been completed.
The internal structures for the amenities, kitchen, offices and other public areas are well underway.
Mayor of Inverell Shire Council, Cr Paul Harmon says “Council is pleased with the progress of this incredible facility. Once completed, the Inverell Aquatic Centre will be the envy of many communities and will serve as a hive of activity for a range of water activities for all the whole community.”
