Need a Venue? No Problem!
7 October 2021
INVERELL Shire Council has recently published the Inverell Shire Venue Guide: a list of non-profit venues for hire in the Inverell Shire.
Covering Tingha, Yetman, Delungra and everywhere in between, the guide lists more than 25 community-owned and volunteer-run halls and venues within the local government area, outlining the features, hire rates and contact information of each.
Mayor, Paul Harmon, says the guide will be a helpful resource for any local residents who are wanting to host an event but are unsure of the facilities Inverell Shire has on offer.
“Council have generated a great resource for people who are unsure about the venues and facilities that are available for hire in Inverell and our surrounding villages.”
“Whether you are new to our area and just want to familiarise yourself with the local facilities, or if you are hosting an event but are unsure about which venues are suitable, the Inverell Venue Guide will be a useful planning tool.”
“It is a convenient way for residents and organisations to find a venue that suits their needs and budget.”
Many of the venues featured in the guide have undergone renovations in recent years, providing hirers with modern-day comforts, while still retaining the original historic charm.
“We have so many venues scattered throughout the shire which have been spruced up and updated thanks to grant funds and hardworking volunteers.”
“Renovations have included new kitchens and entertainment areas; additions such as air conditioning or heating, and I am hopeful these venues can now be used to their full potential.”
If you know a non-profit, volunteer-run venue that would benefit from being included in the guide, please contact Council on 02 6728 8288 or email council@inverell.nsw.gov.au.
