Coronavirus (COVID-19)
Council is constantly monitoring the situation as well as taking advice from the Australian and New South Wales governments to respond appropriately to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
Residents are urged to follow the NSW rules for gatherings that apply to individuals and businesses and recommended protocols for social distancing. Residents are also urged to get tested if you have any symptoms, even if they are mild.
As restrictions start to ease and we become more active it is important to ensure we:

All Council facilities remain open.
Our Administration Centre in Otho Street remains open and as per government advice, please only visit the Administration Centre if it is essential.

In conjunction with the NSW Government restrictions please ensure you continue to follow: the physical distancing, hygiene and safety requirements for businesses, stay home if you are feeling unwell and get tested if you have any symptoms, even if they are mild.

LOCAL BUSINESSES
For information on local business and facilities please make direct contact with the particular business / facility to ensure individual requirements are adhered to.
For residents who are in self isolation or those who wish to minimise contact with others, many local businesses are now offering services such as home delivery, phone ordering and contactless pick-up.
Council is maintaining a list of these businesses, which is posted on our Facebook page.
We encourage residents to take up these options and commend local businesses for continuing to service our community in these difficult times.
2020 Council Elections Postponed
The Minister for Local Government has postponed the September 2020 Local Government elections for one year due to COVID-19.
This means elections will now be held September 2021 and the current council will remain in place until then. The subsequent local government elections will be held in 2024.
