Training Services NSWAs a branch of the Department of Industry, Training Services NSW is responsible for the regulation of apprenticeships and traineeships, management of the NSW funded Vocational Education and Training (VET) training market and Smart & Skilled, promoting VET and the implementation of VET related programs and initiatives.

Our close ties with industry enable us to develop and fund strategic policies that encourage community and regional economic development. We ensure there are VET courses for the largest industry growth areas and for occupations reporting a shortage of labour.

We operate six regional and three metropolitan offices that support employers, training providers and individuals through a wide range of specialist VET related advisory services that contribute to and the development of a skilled workforce in NSW. Our offices are essentially ‘one-stop shops’ for vocational education advice and support in NSW.

We also manage a number of Aboriginal programs that focus on improving access to employment and creating business opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

Steven Bradbury – Celebrity keynote speaker

Celebrity keynote speaker and Winter Olympic gold medallist Steven Bradbury will address participants with his insights for goal setting and overcoming adversity.

While Bradbury’s speed skating gold medal win is now embedded in Australian sports folklore, his rigorous training schedule of 5 hours a day, 6 days a week for 12 years and tenacity to overcome a broken neck show he was far from an overnight success story.

Mr. Bradbury will provide two inspiring presentations throughout the day, outlining his journey from the ice to becoming a highly successful business owner.
