Business help on offer

BUSINESSES keen to tap into the growing phenomena of campaigns such as Buy from the Bush and online sales are being urged to register for a free information session and a visit from e-commerce consultant Peter Spinda.
Brisbane based e-commerce whizz, Peter Spinda will visit Inverell for a full week, kick starting with a free presentation for businesses on Monday 11 May at Inverell RSM Club.
The initiative is being hosted by Inverell Shire Council thanks to grant funding from the Australian Government, which supports businesses in drought affected regions.
Mr Spinda has twenty years experience with e-commerce and the world of businesses. He started his first business at the age of 19. Since then, his business ventures have included website development and digital marketing, branding, recruitment, food manufacturing as well as importing and distribution.
Mr Spinda says his May visit to Inverell will help guide businesses on how digital technology can provide new streams of revenue and improve their bottom line.
Following the business breakfast, Mr Spinda will be making one-on-one consultation sessions, helping managers, owners and staff develop a strategy which is suitable for their business and one which will improve operations and make more money.
Council mayor Paul Harmon says registrations for the business breakfast and one-on-one consultation visits are now open and offer a great opportunity.
“Ecommerce platforms can take your product to customers all over the world and we have examples of locally owned businesses who are doing just that”.
“To book in, businesses can call us at the Council office and book in their free consultation with Peter at a time and day that’s convenient”.
“The one-on-one sessions are completely confidential and these events are open to all businesses in Inverell Shire, whether they are retailers, involved in the service industry or perhaps a home-based business”.
