White Ribbon Community
White Ribbon Australia wants all women to live in safety, free from violence and abuse.
Through education, awareness-raising and creative campaigns, preventative programs and partnerships, we highlight the positive role men play in preventing men’s violence against women and support them to be part of this social change.
Inverell Shire Council is a proud supporter and ambassador of White Ribbon Australia.
If you or someone you know may be experiencing abuse, contact 1800 RESPECT.

- White Ribbon Night - 28 July 2017
Get together with your friends, family and colleagues on Friday 28 July and have a good time that makes a big difference.
White Ribbon Night is a fun way to stand up, speak out and act to prevent the cycle of violence against women.
Hosting a White Ribbon Night is easy, have a dinner, watch a movie or test your skills with a quiz night – choose an activity you enjoy, the possibilities are endless.
On average, one woman dies of intimate partner violence every week in Australia – don’t stand by – STAND UP. By hosting a White Ribbon Night you’re raising vital funds and awareness to stop violence before it happens.
Funds raised go towards prevention programs in schools, workplaces and the broader community.
